Starting out from humble beginnings we have now grown to become the favoured business partner of many blue chip companies throughout the area when a vehicle or transport solution is required.

Since 1988 Runtech has specialised in vehicle support to industry across Wales with sole aim of becoming best in class for every service we offer. We now offer a comprehensive range of services from daily rental to contract hire, combined with new and used vehicle sales. The expertise we have gained through the demands of heavy industry has allowed us to establish a refined and professional service that everybody can benefit from. We now pride ourselves on providing the best vehicle hire, maintenance and haulage services to the public or business users in the UK.

In 1988 Ian Gorvett identified a gap in the market for the supply of an on site quality servicing for vehicles and plant, so he bought a van, some tools and equipment and began to trade.

Enthusiasm and commitment to quality was reflected in repeat business and it became apparent that in order to continue that expansion was inevitable.

Premises in Port Talbot were obtained and equipped and the Runtech story began. Originally with just one vehicle, the business grew and is now a thriving enterprise, with a fleet of over a thousand vehicles including cars, vans, trucks, plant, Brokks, heavy haulage vehicles, trailers and low loaders, capable of moving just about anything from anywhere to anywhere in the UK.

Expansion continued within the vehicle hire market as the Runtech reputation for quality, value and commitment became more widely known.
